Entering the Future with Curiosity & Excitement

Have you ever noticed that the language that we use can influence how we feel? Sometimes even a subtle change makes a big difference. Are you going to face the future or enter the future? Cope with old age or enjoy old age? Imagine what you’ll want or get to do instead of dwelling on what you’ll no longer have to do? I don’t know about you, but when I have to face something, I feel uneasy, like something bad might be about to happen. I’d rather gather the facts than face them. I’m only 60 and I choose to celebrate my 60 years rather than figure out ways to cope with being that age. Sure, I have to make adjustments and am a little slower than I used to be. That’s OK! What kind of bequest will you leave to the world? Design your life to support your goals and dreams. Modify your schedule and environment so that your daily routine reinforces your goals. This way you don’t have to re-decide or remind yourself routinely that you have these goals. Diversify your social investments. Nourish your social relationships. What other steps can you take now to move you closer to the amazing and productive future you imagine? Remember, baby steps count. They move you toward your goal. Let’s get started!
